Nollywood Superstar, Rita Dominic shines on as the best actress for the movie "76" at the African Magic Viewers Choice Award, AMVCA 2017.The awards ceremony which took place on Saturday, March 4, in EKO Hotel & Suites, Lagos, featured several nominations including Oloibiri which won three categories while Vaya won two awards. But in all, "76" took home three of the Big Four categories; Best picture, Best director and Best actress.
The star actress, Dominic beats Bimbo Akintola - 93 Days, Ivie Okujaye - Slow Country, Adesua Etomi - The Arbitration, Zimkhita Nyoka - Vaya, Meg Ottamwa - Derailed and Hannah Ojo - Love is A Prank, with her outstanding role as Suzy in "76."
The movie tells a story about a young pregnant woman, whose husband, a soldier, was accused of being involved in the 1976 military coup and assassination of General Murtala Mohammed, the then Head-of State of Nigeria.
In her speech as she received the award, Rita Dominic dedicated her achievements to God.

"After almost two decades in this industry, I'm still here, I'm still doing this. It can only be you, God," she said.The style diva also dedicated the award to wives of unsung heroes - soldiers who died defending the nation.
"I dedicate this award to the unsung heroes; the armies wife."
