20+ Truth About Success That Will Get You One Step Ahead

Every success story has an excruciating stressful beginning, but the truth is that there are certain facts and principles one must adhere to achieve greatness.
Studying the lives people ranging from CEOs of multi-billion companies, fast-growing entrepreneurs or those launching startups to others shorting down or selling out their startups, it is easy to learn the guiding tips/tricks that make it all work and they include:

1. Start small and the sky won't be your limit.

2. Work on the easier tasks first, then progress to the harder tasks.

3. The more comfortable you grow with making beginners mistakes, the easier it will be to learn new things.

4. Practice is the only true way to master new skills and that requires you to be patient while you learn new things.

5. Aim for perfection (not literally 100% perfect), but always strive to get better at your craft - from the technical aspects of your job to your leadership skills.

6. No one succeeds alone. Always seek help. Be specific when asking, be graceful and grateful for the help received.

7. Learn to embrace diversity. Compensate for your own short-comings by selecting teammates who have different strengths.

8. You don't have to like someone to treat that person with respect and courtesy.

9. Be humble. No matter how much you think you have achieved, there are always people who have more. And of course, there are others who have less.

10. You might never have all the resources (time, people, money etc) you need for your start-up; project or company. No one ever has all the resources they want. And this calls for creativity and innovation, which are skills that can be learned and practised by doing your usual things in a new way.

11. In the early stages of a company, career, or project, you'll have to say 'yes' to a lot of things. In the later stages, you can say 'no.'

12. Criticisms and praise must be accepted with maturity. Scrutinize it for nuggets of truth and then disregard the rest.

13. No one but you has a greater opinion of yourself. Only you can believe in yourself.

14. Your dream is your ultimate roadmap. You don't have to achieve your dream right away, but the only way to get there is to take many steps towards it.

15. If you think big, you will hear "no" more than you hear "yes," but the final decision is yours, not theirs.

16. As you achieve a successful outcome, there will be loads of pressure to do more and do it faster. Always be prepared and trust you will learn how to handle the added responsibilities.

17. One of the secrets to success is to communicate your plans with other people in every way possible. This makes it easier to attract the people that will help you.

18. Whatever your innovation, invention or services, keep in mind that it's not about the product; rather, it's about the people and the lives you will improve. Therefore, stay focused on that and you're more likely to succeed.

19. Failure might be inevitable, but not a bad thing. Just part of the process.

20. Know when to throw caution to the wind and gamble everything on your vision. No one but you would know when to do this. If you feel strongly enough, just do it.

21. Say "yes" more often.

22. "No"  is a powerful word. Learn to use it in a respectful manner.

23. Never try to control people and never let anyone manipulate you.

24. Know when to keep going and when to quit.

"I will work hard to unite our country and be the President of all Americans."
About 538 electors reportedly participated in the voting across the US, hence it was Trump's 304 votes against Clinton's 277 votes.

African Model Mimic Major Fashion Ads To Campaign Against Racial Disparity

African Model

A Liberian-born model, Deddeh Howard has set up a project tagged 'Black Mirror' in which she portrays exact poise of famous white models in order to challenge lack of black models in the fashion advertising.

"We live in a globalized world with many interracial couples producing mixed babies. Why can't the big brands bot embrace our diversity more and give all of us visibility? Howard asks.

Deddeh questioned why fair white models are easily preferred in major modeling brands than their black counterparts. By replicating photos of popular brand shoots such as Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel etc... she campaigns against racial disparity among models worldwide.
Speaking about the project, the US-based model talked about her bitter experience as one who has been rejected due to her dark skin. Deddeh expressed hope that her campaign will inspire a rethink about black models and others from countries around the world, in the fashion industry.
"For this project I decided to re-shoot several of the inspiring and famous campaigns out there and try to show what they could look like with a black model,” she wrote.“I hope this project can help to bring awareness back to the positive side of black people. Unfortunately we are rarely shown in a positive light in the media, but can see countless times when yet another black person gets shot or arrested."
The project posted on Instangram garnered tremendous responds which Howard confessed she wasn't expecting.
