Do You Remember "The Sound Of Music" Actors? And 51 Years Later


7 children pictured starting from the oldest include: Charmian Carr (“Liesl”), Nicholas Hammond (“Friedrich”), Heather Menzies-Urich (“Louisa”), Duane Chase (“Kurt”), Angela Cartwright (“Brigitta”), Debbie Turner (“Marta”) and Kym Karath (“Gretl”), with Julie Andrews (as Maria) and Christopher Plummer (as Captain Von Trapp) were the main characters of the movie.
Releases in 1965 and 51 years later, "The Sound of Music" remain a memorable film of a sweet childhood.
The film was nominated for 10 Academy Awards, and won five Oscars, including awards for Best Picture and Best Director (Robert Wise).




Five decades later Christopher Plummer, 85 and Julie Andrew 79, remain active in Hollywood. 
Plummer played Gondolf in "Lord of the Ring" and Andrew has featured in many Disney cartoons
such as the "Shrek."
